Starting today, visitors to most municipal facilities in St. Marys will no longer need to wear a mask or face covering. The Town is removing its mask mandate to align with the Province of Ontario’s plans to ease COVID-19 restrictions.
The only exceptions are the St. Marys Child Care Centre and the Town of St. Marys EarlyON Centre. Parents, caregivers and staff will be required to wear masks at these facilities until April 4, 2022.

Work has officially begun on the Town of St. Marys’ first major construction project of 2022. The municipality is working with Lavis Contracting to reconstruct a section of Wellington Street, spanning from the Wellington Street Bridge to Park Street E.
The project shares many similarities with the highly successful Queen Street reconstruction project that was completed in 2016. As with the Queen Street project, there will be a particular focus on making the downtown more accessible for individuals...

Starting today, visitors to municipal facilities in St. Marys will no longer need to show proof of vaccination. The Town is removing its vaccine mandate to align with the Province of Ontario’s plans to ease public health restrictions.
Other public health measures - like wearing a mask and practicing physical distancing - will remain in place in Town facilities to ensure the safety of all patrons.

A former theatre in downtown St. Marys could once again become a hub for arts and culture.
On February 16, 2022, the Town of St. Marys finalized a deal to purchase 14 Church Street North. The historic brick and limestone structure – which once housed the Mercury Theatre - has been vacant since 2006.
